MY FAVORITE ALBUMS OF 2007

1. AMY WINEHOUSE- BACK TO BLACK.

Hands down, the most delicious, raw, edgy and delightful album of the year. Every single song on this album is just so beautiful, Amy Winehouse's voice
is one of a kind and I admire her so much more every day that I hear this album. "Do me good", "Tears Dry on their own", "Back to Black", and the smash hit "Rehab" are only some of the wonderful songs in this album. With a big amount of Grammy nominations, I'm sure this album will get even more praises that it already has. This album has made most of the my life soundtrack this year.

2. Britney Spears- Blackout.

Move over Justin, Nelly and Gwen, Britney is back. After all of the difficult time Britney's had this last year, she still managed to put out an impecable,
sexy, innovative, and fresh dance-pop album. Every single song is so different from each other and that makes it so damn refreshing. Britney has put out
a standard on pop music and look out in 2008 for an inspiration from this album on every single dance pop artist out there. Britney is still a force to be
reckoned with. She is here to stay.

3. Paramore- Riot!

Oh, dirty little rock jewel. There was no one so hard-rockingly good than Paramore this year. There is a personal anthem for everyone in this album. Their
energy onstage and on record is amazing, and I can't wait to see what the future will bring for them. Paramore is the "It" rock band and they have earned my
respect and admiration, as well as the whole world.

4. Regina Spektor- Begin to Hope.

Ever since I heard "Fidelity", the first single of this great album, I was glued to my iPod listening to the complete album over and over again. Her voice is so compelling and kind, and her lyrics are amazing. I cannot wait to see her live next year. She is the Tori Amos of this millenium. I strongly recommend the song "Samson".

5. Peter, Bjorn and John- Writer's Block.

PB & J were my little discovery this year. I do not have an idea why they haven't made it big here in the U.S yet. They are so good and unique. Their energy
on stage is remarkable and they have changed the rock panorama for good. I hope they get the recognition they deserve next year because they have been really
underappreciated so far. Peter, Bjorn and John gave me my best concert experience this year. Rock on guys.

6. Pitbull- The Boatlift.

I know, this is soo the opposite of what I usually like, but this album is so freaking cool! Every song is a party anthem and everytime I hear this song in a club I just lose it. Pitbull is one creative motherfucker and I hope to keep on hearing more club bangers like this in the future.. Yep, I'm a fan.

7. Alicia Keys- As I Am.

Alicia Keys is gorgeous inside and out. She is extremely talented and gracious, she is like the most perfect woman in the face of the world. And her latest album is wonderful. With one of the most privileged voices in the industry, she will surely be remembered as one of the most talented people in the music world forever.

8. Belanova- Fantasia Pop.

Belanova is my pride and joy. So fresh, so groundbreaking that has made this band my favorite in spanish. Although this album did not measured up to the
standards their past albums had put through, "Fantasia Pop" is another little precious pop wonder. This band and their music always put a smile in my face,
and they make me proud of being a "tapatio" deep, deep in my heart.

9. John Mayer- Continuum.

Ok, I know this album was not released this year but it defitinely made a big part of the soundtrack of my life this 07. John Mayer is such an amazing singer
and songwriter, and he manages to convey a rainbow of different emotions throughout this album and that is what makes it so special. Personally, I have to
thank him for making "Stop this train", a song that has taught me a lot and that moved me beyond every emotion in the world. A song I can share with my
father and call it our own. Bravo, John Mayer.

10. Rihanna- Good Girl Gone Bad.

I've saying to myself for a while that Rihanna is the prototipe of a perfect pop star. And now she is. Rihanna has the image, the music, the mediatic machine
around her that has made her the number one pop star in the world. And her album is not just "Umbrella" buzz, there is a lot of solid pop, R&B tracks that
are surely to keep continuing to dominate the charts worldwide.

Special Mentions: Mika- "Life in Cartoon Motion", Augustana- "Stars and Boulevards", Zoe- "Memo Rex Commander Y El Corazon Atomico de la Via Lactea"
